This platform is designed for students, graduates, higher education institutions, credential evaluators, employers, and policy makers who need reliable information on the comparability of higher education qualifications across participating countries.
The EQF is a European reference framework that helps compare qualifications across different national systems. It uses an eight-level scale to indicate the level of learning outcomes achieved. In the comparability table, EQF helps users understand how a qualification from one country aligns with the education system in another.
While the platform supports informed decision-making, it does not replace official recognition procedures where these are still required (e.g., for regulated professions). Always check with the relevant authority if formal recognition is needed.
In order to use comparability tool no registration is required. The platform is publicly accessible and free to use.
After completing a comparison, you have the option to download a PDF of the result for your personal reference, use in applications, or to present to institutions or employers.
Baltic-Benelux six-party treaty is a formal agreement between the Baltic States and Benelux countries to automatically recognize each other’s higher education qualifications that give access to further studies or indicate the completion of a cycle (e.g., Bachelor, Master).
Comparability tool only includes qualifications that are covered by the automatic recognition agreement - those that are recognized at the national level as belonging to the formal higher education system.
If you find that higher education qualification is missing in our comparability table, please contact your national ENIC/NARIC centre for any inquiries about corrections or wrong information. Please bear in mind that provided qualification titles are general ones and does not display specialization.
